PIEDMONT CENTER THEATRE

PIEDMONT CENTER THEATRE The Fantasticks musical

Enjoy this family friendly, classic musical presented in an intimate venue, on a bare stage, with piano/harp accompaniment as it was originally produced! Based on a French play, "Les Romanesques" by Edmund Rostand, Fantasticks opened off-Broadway in 1960 and ran, continuously, for 42 years and over 17,000 performances because it is simple & charming with wonderful, hummable songs: "Try To Remember", "Soon It's Gonna Rain", "Much More", "They Were You". The original harp/piano scoring is a very unusual type of chamber music, considered a classic in the harp repertoire.

This venue is close to the size of the original venue where audience members sit very close to the performers, who constantly speak to them throughout the show. The all-star cast are terrific local singers!
