Sing from the Masses and motets of Josquin Desprez, introducing the melodic “licks”and rhythmic “schwung” of the Franco-Flemish masters.
One of Josquin’s earliest known Masses, Missa L’ami baudichon is rich with florid motives and contrapuntal secrets.
Each section of the Mass will be preceded by an exercise designed to warm you up, teach common “licks” and techniques of the repertory, and introduce relaxed straight-tone for ensemble performance.
