The intent of this class is to give students the confidence to apply some basic “essential” graces to Baroque sonatas. We will not be venturing into the world of florid, coloratura ornaments, I am talking basics! Using repetitive, methodical patterns we will practice trills, turns, mordents, appoggiaturas and “nachschlags” in various keys, and discuss where to apply them. I guarantee you will leave this class trilling up a storm!
