San Francisco Symphony Our Jazz Lineage: Music of Coleridge-Taylor, Chick Corea, & Dvořák

Join members of the SF Symphony for a chamber music program that celebrates our jazz and spiritual musical lineage, past and present. The soulful melodies of African American composer Coleridge-Taylor’s music evoke native songs of Africa and the West Indies, while multi-Grammy Award-winner Chick Corea’s trio is infused with signature jazz rhythms. Dvorak’s G Major Quintet closes out this remarkable concert with an unmistakable musical homage to the free-spiritedness of jazz.
