Join the Deep Tones as we celebrate our premiere performance by presenting works by Medaglia, Milhaud, Poulenc, Piazzolla, and D'Rivera. We'll also be joined by the fabulous and talented, Allison Lovejoy.
Our performance, "Latin Dances & French Comedies", will be held at the Piedmont Center for the Arts (801 Magnolia Ave, Piedmont, CA) and will feature the talents of Arturo Rodriguez, Medina Crystal-Gloria, Marcus Phillips, Cathleen Torres, and Francisca Wright. The Deep Tones were brought together during Quinteto Latino's Seminario in Summer of 2018.
The ensemble has come together to form, The Deep Tones, a wind quintet featuring people of color to explore the diverse works in written for woodwind quintet.
Listen to the quirky sounds of French composers such as Milhaud and Poulenc, combined with the sultry and dance-like sounds of D'Rivera, Medaglia, and Piazzolla.
