Verismo Opera proudly presents a recital for Chinese-American soprano Cecilia XingMei Cai who has sung as Nedda from I Pagliacci, Micaëla from Carmen, and Violetta Valéry from La Traviata with the company.

An exclusive program featuring wistful German Lieder, tempting Russian songs and exotic ethnic Chinese songs that you will be hearing for the first time; famous opera selections from I Pagliacci, La Traviata, La Bohème, and new Chinese opera The Wilderness.

Joining her -
Alexander Katsman, Music Director of Livermore Valley Opera, renown conductor and collaborative pianist. His conducting credits include over 60 opera, operetta, and musical theater productions. Mr. Katsman serves on conducting faculties of Bay Area Summer Opera Theater Institute and Opera Academy of California. He is also on the coaching staff at the San Francisco Conservatory.

Baritone Julio Ferrari, who has sung Renato from Un Ballo in Maschera, Valentin from Faust, Silvio/Tonio from I Pagliacci, Albert from Werther, and will debut as Marcello from La Bohème with the company.

Free for children 12 and under, students/seniors $13, and general admission is $20.
