John Chiang (江嘉瑞) - His music is always sensitive with very emotional expression - John Chiang (江嘉瑞) is an active Erhu musician constantly performing in Asia, American, and Europe. During 2004 to 2011, he was concertmaster of Dachung Chinese Orchestra, leading the orchestra to win many prizes, including top prize of “National Chinese music Competition”, and “Spring of international music festival Shanghai” and have received many well reviews from music critics and magazines. In 2007, he co-founded “Taiwanese Ensemble” in with three other Taiwanese musicians, and had been invited to perform in several festivals in Europe, including Busker festival, and Edinburgh Festival. John is currently one of the musicians of “TOPS”, a musician group sponsored by Taiwanese top artistic agency “New Art Inc.” and have been performed in Taiwanese National concert hall, Shanghai Fashion Week, Hong Kong Art Festival, and Japanese Music Festival, etc., he has appeared in numerals performances as a soloist and chamber musician, performing Taiwan, China, Japan, American, Canada, French, Italy, and Swiss. He also has won several music competitions, including First Prize of Taiwan National Music Competition-Erhu, and National Yellow Bell Chinese Music Competition-Erhu, and also the top prize of “best leading performer” from the Taipei Chinese Music Competition.
