Sunset Music | Arts is dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable music and arts programs to people of all ages, in the Sunset district of San Francisco and beyond. In addition, we occasionally conduct a variety of workshops focusing on the arts.
Sunset SF produces inventive experiences that incubate sustainable artistic communities in the Bay Area and beyond. Ours is an unadulterated independent perspective, which embodies the progressive ideals of our San Francisco home. A 17-year old boutique success story, Sunset SF tirelessly promotes quality niche music, and art through concerts, parties, exhibitions and festivals. We are committed to building progressive urban events in a manner that is environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable.
Originally founded by medical professionals at UCSF, Symphony Parnassus is made up of working professionals. The repertoire is general focused on 19th and 20th century composers with an emphasis on lesser known works. The symphony also promotes local talent by casting soloists from the SF area including the Conservatory of Music.
Having risen from the demise of the San Jose Symphony, this professional orchestra presents eight different programs this season, running the full span of the classical repertoire. The Symphony's resident Chorale presents a holiday program of Carols, as well as two programs as part of the season.
