Afiara String Quartet
Afiara places a keen interest on music of the 18th and 19th centuries, though it plays music from Haydn to yesterday's ink.
African American Composer Initiative
The African American Composer Initiative (AACI) presents the works of living and historical African American composers in concert, shares video of these live concerts online, and commissions new compositions.
AfterGlow Chorus
AfterGlow Chorus is a new, auditioned summer chamber choir based in Oakland focused on performing beautiful choral works with the highest, possible level of musicianship. Musical genres performed by the chorus include Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th Century, 21st Century, pop, rock, and jazz. Both a cappella (traditional and contemporary) works as well as accompanied pieces are performed. AfterGlow's singers are highly-skilled, experienced singers, many of whom have formal conservatory training or significant choral experience.

Ahn Trio
Hailed as "exacting and exciting musicians" by the LA Times, the three sisters of the Ahn Trio (Lucia on the piano, Angella on the violin, and Maria on the cello) have earned a distinguished reputation for embracing 21st century classical music with their unique style and innovative collaborations. In 2011, President Obama invited the Ahn Trio to perform at the White House for a State Dinner honoring South Korea.
Ai Goldsmith
Of flutist Ai Goldsmith, Fanfare Magazine’s Dave Saeman writes “Ai Goldsmith is a fine, distinguished flutist. …Goldsmith’s tone and articulation are world class.” Jerry Dubins describes Ai’s music making as “suave elegance of execution” and “sophisticated style of music-making”. Noted for her purity of tone, charming stage presence, and captivating interpretation, Ms. Goldsmith performs as soloist and chamber musician across the US as well as in Japan, Canada and the UK.
Alameda Civic Ballet
"Our mission is to create and present community accessible ballet performances while educating and engaging the community in the performing arts. Alameda Ballet Academy and its affiliate performing company, Alameda Civic Ballet, were founded in 2003 by the Artistic Director, Abra Rudisill. Both the school and company were created to impart the best elements of the classical ballet tradition to local dance students and the surrounding community of the East Bay. In her lessons and leadership, Rudisill draws upon her 20 years of experience as a Prima Ballerina and Ballet Mistress with Oakland Ballet, and she seeks to carry on her artistic lineage through the education of Bay Area youth. Alameda Civic Ballet was founded in February 2003 and achieved non-profit 501(c)(3) status as a charitable organization in November of 2004. The goal of the company is to create and present quality community accessible ballet performances, while providing young dancers with valuable experience performing alongside professional dancers.
Albany Chamber Orchestra
