New Music Works is an 11 member ensemble originally formed by composers to perform each other's work publicly. The ensemble continues to focus on performance of works by Santa Cruz area composers. Through the Sound Horizons program they perform new works submitted in a competition format by students in the area.
New Spectrum is a chamber music group affiliated with the San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music. The main mission of the group is to bridge the gap between standard repertoire and contemporary music through innovative programming and interactive presentation. They are committed to promoting music by living composer, particularly those based in the Bay Area.
The North Bay Opera presents one fully staged opera each year in Fairfield, CA. The organization draws from the Bay Area's rich talent pool to produce quality production in the largely agricultural valley between San Francisco and Sacramento.
The Department of Music and Vocal Arts offers comprehensive professional training for the aspiring performer in concert, opera, and musical theater.
