Mercury Soul is proud to present an extremely rare appearance by the visionary composers behind the pop culture phenomenon Stranger Things at San Francisco’s leading club The Midway. Both avant-garde and accessible, synthesizer virtuosos Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein won a Primetime Emmy Award and two Grammy nominations for their extraordinary score to the Netflix series.
Dixon and Stein’s innovative use of analogue synthesizers will be contextualized within the history of the pipe organ – the world’s first synthesizer – with an opening organ performance featuring the music of Bach and Messiaen.
