New Opera West invites children 8-12 years old to participate in a three-part online workshop, in which they will create a libretto (the story and text of an opera) that will be turned into a mini-opera by composer Dina Pruzhansky. Kids will then have the opportunity to listen to the finished work and illustrate their story to render a final, virtual premiere performance of their new, multimedia opera.

Leading the workshops will be Librettist Amy Punt, Visual Artist, Natalie Parker, New Opera West Executive Director, Emily Thebaut,  Music Education Coordinator and Teaching Artist, Vincentia Geraldine, Composer, Dina Pruzhansky and Video Producer, Nicole Holly.
