Live from Amsterdam: A Wolf in Bear’s Clothing

Presented by Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale

Philharmonia returns to Amsterdam this Thursday with electrifying performances of Mozart and Tchaikovsky. Sensational piano duo Alexandra Nepomnyashchaya and Richard Egarr will perform an Andante from Mozart’s Sonata for Piano Four-Hands in F Major followed by Tchaikovsky’s powerful Symphony No. 4, “Fate Symphony” — brilliantly arranged by Tchaikovsky’s friend and colleague Sergei Taneyev. Richard and Alex will perform the program on a gorgeous Bechstein piano from 1860. Both works are monumental: Mozart in its “Romantic” canvas, Tchaikovsky in just about every way! Hang onto your hats… and coats!
