Presidio Pop-up Orchestra opens the Presidio Theatre to the public

The Presidio Pop-up Orchestra opens the Presidio Theatre to the public in two free performances on Sunday September 22nd. Music director Laurie Cohen expressly organized fifty musicians from all over the Bay Area for the debut of the newly restored and expanded Presidio Theatre for its first free public performances. In keeping with the site of the 1939 WPA-built theater, the orchestra program focuses on music the 1930s and features New Deal composers (Copland, Bacon, Barber, Gershwin.) The program will be performed twice, at 1:00pm and at 2:00pm on Sunday September 22nd, the theater’s official Open House Day. Everyone is welcome.

Performances: repeat 35 minute performances, at 1:00 and 2:00pm.
