Gwendolyn Mok

Gwendolyn Mok has performed countless recitals and concerti in her multifaceted career in addition to her dedication to mentoring young pianists at San Jose State University and beyond. Ms. Mok has a rare knowledge of historical instruments and has made acclaimed recordings of Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Brahms, and Ravel on period instruments. This Piano Legacy interview explores the teaching of Vlado Perlemuter with whom Ms. Mok studied in Paris, the piano music of Maurice Ravel, and the impact of historical instruments on modern piano playing.
