Beloved by Bay Area audiences and beyond, pianist William Wellborn joins us for music and conversation in celebration of his tenure as President of the American Liszt Society, San Francisco Bay Area Chapter. A veteran performer and educator, Mr. Wellborn brings a wealth of knowledge not only of piano literature and historical performance but an encyclopedic knowledge of opera and singers from the first half of the twentieth century through present day. Topics to include the role of the voice in piano playing, Liszt and opera, and not-to-missed historical recordings from the victrola era.
