Mark Tuning

MARK TUNING is Music Director of Voices of Musica Sacra and at Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church. He served as Assistant Director for the San Francisco City Chorus for seven years and on the music faculty of the Conservatory of Vocal and Instrumental Arts, a public K-8 charter school in Oakland. He sings tenor with Les Hommes, a men’s ensemble consisting of choral professionals.
He has served as Director of Music Ministries for churches in Oregon, Illinois, New Mexico and California since 1985. In addition, he directed Jazz and Gospel choirs at Mt. Hood Community College, Washington State University, and the University of Oregon. Mark served on the faculty of Saint Mary’s College of California as the director of the NightinGaels Choir and instructor of voice, and has been on the adjunct faculty of California State University East Bay.
He has made numerous appearances as a tenor and countertenor soloist throughout the Bay Area.
