Robert Schwartz

San Francisco

I am an active performer and teacher with a large class of private students as well as students at three schools in the Bay Area. Recent performing and teaching stints have included the Beijing Conservatory, the Vienna International Pianists festival, and a lecture recital and master classes at the Chautauqua Institution as well as the Portland International Piano Festival. Recent performances in the Bay Area have included Mozart and Shostakovich concertos with the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra and the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, recital at The Steinway Society in San Jose and a performance of the complete 'Iberia' by Albeniz at Old First Church in SF. I am looking forward to performances next season on the Dewing Recital Series in Oakland, CA, The Mendocino Music Festival, Vienna Young Pianists and the Ambialet Music Festival in Provence, France. A CD of the piano music of Debussy, Franck and Poulenc will be released soon and I am scheduled to record Iberia this winter.
