Cellist, Natalie Raney is currently pursuing an Artist Certificate in Chamber Music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying with Jean-Michel Fonteneau. She holds a B.M. from the Unversity of Missouri-St. Louis where she studied with Kurt Baldwin and the Arianna String Qaurtet. She furthered her schooling at Boston University, receiving a Master of Music under Marc Johnson, former cellist of the Vermeer Quartet. While in Boston, her quartet was invited by the Muir Quartet to participate in the Emerging Quartets and Composers Program. In 2012 her quartet at San Francisco Conservatory was invited to play at the Kennedy Center’s Conservatory Project as well as being selected as finalists in the Coleman Chamber Music Competition. She has had the pleasure to perform chamber music with such artists as Kim Kashkashian, Menahem Pressler, Bonnie Hampton, Geoff Nuttall, Roberto Diaz, Ian Swensen, Paul Hersh, and the Arianna String Quartet.
