This concert uses award-winning Canadian composer Katerina Gimon’s choral work Element, a four-movement song cycle by the titles of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water as its framework.
The program features choral compositions from different times and places that reflect each element in their original forms and philosophical meanings, including compositions by James Macmillan, Pierre Villette, Randall Stroope, Ko Matsushita, and Charles Ives
