Violinist Anne Akiko Meyers has generously donated her time for a Japan disaster relief fund-raiser, sponsored by Play for Japan USA.
The concert takes place in the Woodside High School Performing Arts Center on Friday.
Aside from a brief “air” by J.S. Bach, Meyers plays music by Japanese composers Somei Satoh, Rentaro Taki, and Michio Miyagi, as well as Gene Pritsker's variations on the folk tune Sakura, Sakura.
