Frederica von Stade tells an engaging musical story together with composer/pianist Jake Heggie and talented teenagers from the Young Musician's Program at UC Berkeley: Priscillia Alva, Thérèse-Marie Chaix, Adam Green, and Christabel Nunoo, with special guest Hannah Gorman.
Flicka will introduce vocalists both young and old, to Broadway show tunes like Getting to Know You and I'm Just a Girl who Can't Say No, beautiful contemporary songs by Jake Heggie, a bit of opera by Ravel and Rossini, and an animal-themed set with songs about rabbits, rattlesnakes, and serpents.
