Celebrate with the SFS

The San Francisco Symphony celebrates Lunar New Year with its audiences each year at this festive event. Kids will enjoy the preconcert reception with arts and crafts, lion dancing, and Chinese calligraphy, and complimentary food, desserts, and tea in the Davies Symphony Hall lobbies.

The program is a mix of traditional Chinese songs and Western European favorites. Don't miss the chance to hear Li Bo play the morin khuur, the Mongolian horse-head fiddle. His original composition, The Tale of Matou Qin, is based on a classic folk tale in which a poor boy rescues a white foal and raises the young horse to maturity.
