Rebecca Reed-Lunn

A native of Davis, CA, Rebecca Reed-Lunn has 16 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music with High Distinction as well as a Performer Diploma from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Her teachers include Alan de Veritch, Yuval Gotlibovich, and Lynne Richburg, and she studied pedagogy with Mimi Zweig and Brenda Brenner of the Indiana University String Academy.

Timothy McClure

Tim obtained his Bachelor’s in Music: Performance at Brigham Young University. He has performed with the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra, and the Baroque Ensemble. In 2011 he toured China for three weeks with the Chamber Orchestra. He is passionate about all things chamber music.

Akiko Kojima

Akiko has been combining her teaching and performing career for more than 10 years.

Since obtaining her Masters of Music and Professional Studies Diploma from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Akiko has won positions with the Marin Symphony, California Symphony, Monterey Symphony, Fresno Philharmonic, and Santa Cruz Symphony.

Carli Bates

Ms. Bates values her role as a music educator. Before residing in San Francisco she maintained a cello studio of all ages and served as the orchestra director at Edwardsville High School in Edwardsville, Illinois, where her orchestra was nominated and performed at the 2011 Illinois Music Educators (IMEA) All-State Convention. Carli is certified in the Suzuki Method and an active member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

Matt Van Pelt

Hilary Lewis

An active member of the San Francisco musical community, Lewis performs locally with a variety of groups including San Francisco Academy Orchestra, Russian Chamber Orchestra, Classical Revolution, and Five Line Strings Quartet. Teaching engagements include masterclasses with the Academy Orchestra outreach quartet and at Myriad Music School in San Mateo.

Sarah Kim

Sarah Kim was born in Alexandria, Virginia and was raised with a strong Korean background with musical influences. Her talent for viola grew quickly as she started to play seriously in middle school under the teaching of Young Park. Her skills rapidly developed under the fine care of Ron Houston, a graduate of the New England Conservatory. In 2010, she graduated from the Plano Senior High School as an alumna of several All- Region orchestras, Texas All-State orchestras, and a six-year member of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra.
