YPSO Spring 2015 Auditions:

Young People's Symphony Orchestra is the oldest youth orchestra in California and the second oldest in the nation. Our Music Director and Conductor David Ramadanoff is now celebrating his 26th season with YPSO.
Come sing with us in the Allegro Chorus! It offers a large variety of fun and worthwhile opportunities like singing in the chorus of an opera and at places like the California Academy of Sciences. Not only will you have a great time with other skillful and welcoming girls but also learn to sing in different languages, music style, and harmony. Through this after school activity you can make life-long friends while learning how to read and sing all different kinds of music and touch audiences. It meets twice a week: Wednesday and Sunday afternoons 4-6 pm.
Come sing with us in the Prelude Chorus. It offers a great variety of fun and worthwhile opportunities like learning to sing in different languages, music styles, and in harmony. Through this after school activity you can make life-long friends while learning how to read and sing all different kinds of music and touch audiences. It meets twice a week on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons 4-5:30 pm. Auditions will be looking for a nice, natural singing voice that has good pitch and can carry a tune. We are also looking for girls who love to sing and perform.
Auditions are scheduled on Saturday & Sunday, January 26-27 for the 2013 Junior Bach Festival (March 15-24.). The AGE LIMIT is 18 years as of February 1, 2013, except for vocalists and accompanists who may be 20. Accompanists sought (email [email protected]).

NVYS will be holding auditions on August 25 and 26. Auditions for both orchestra and ensemble members are open to all musicians 21 years or younger and are open for both advanced and entry-level musicians in the Sinfonia Wind Ensemble and Sinfonia String Ensemble. Applicants must register ahead of time at www.nvyso.org/auditions.html
SCCYS is holding make-up auditions on Saturday, August 27. Musicians who are not able to make those auditions should email [email protected] to see if another date is available. More information about the symphony can be found at www.sccys.org. No student is turned away due to financial need.

Candidates must be 6 to 18 years old, study with a private teacher, and have had at least one year of lessons to be considered for placement.
