California Summer Music Performance

The Performance Program is designed to create a rich musical experience in solo and chamber music for sixty-five string players and pianists from the US and the rest of the world, ranging in age from teenagers to young adults. There is ample time for individual practice, lessons and ensemble coachings, encouraging growth both technically and musically. Each participant is assigned to a compatible chamber music group that fosters team building skills across cultures and creates a deeper understanding of chamber music. Master classes, which are open to the public, offer the opportunity to observe the approach that an experienced musician takes to great musical literature and features student performers.
