The John-Carlos Perea Trio premieres a new musical composition for Native American flute, reflecting on the 50th anniversary of the 1969 occupation of Alcatraz Island. Featuring Karl Evangelista (guitar), SF State Associate Professor of American Indian Studies John-Carlos Perea (Native American flute, laptop) and Karen Stackpole (gongs).
