Passion, Joy and Beauty: Britten, Poulenc and Fauré

This fall Voci Women’s Vocal Ensemble presents “Passion, Joy and Beauty: Britten, Poulenc and Fauré” an ambitious program of exquisite 20th century music for women’s voices and organ, under the direction of Guest Conductor Robert Wells.

Join us as we bring to life Benjamin Britten’s inventive Missa Brevis in D, Francis Poulenc’s stunning Litanies à la Vierge Noire, Gabriel Fauré’s sublime Messe Basse, and other notable works by Maurice Duruflé and Emma Lou Diemer. All of these composers derived inspiration from Gregorian chant, cleverly reworking these medieval plainchants into innovative and beautiful new works.

Voci will be joined for these beautiful concerts by internationally acclaimed organist Jonathan Dimmock and the Piedmont East Bay Children’s Concert Choir. More information at https://vocisings.org.
