Presented by Community Concerts at Epworth

Now in its 15th year, Quinteto Latino continues to expand the boundaries of classical music with vibrant performances of the classical and contemporary music of Latin America.

The program features a fugue by Argentina's renowned tango composer, Astor Piazzolla; a theme and variations by Brazilian Ronaldo Miranda; a new arrangement of Brazil's biggest hit, Waldir Azevedo's Brasileirinho; as well as a sneak peek at a new work by American/Peruvian composer Gabriela Lena Frank.

The theme of Community Concert's 5th Season is Building Bridges, a look at how classical music links unlikely people together in a shared intimate experience. It explores the many ways that music brings the world closer and breaks the boundaries that divide us.

Community Concerts at Epworth brings high quality performances of diverse styles and genres to our North Berkeley neighborhood in an accessible format. Concerts are about one hour in length. They are free of charge so that all can have access to great music. The concert series is a community service of Epworth United Methodist Church of Berkeley, a Reconciling Congregation committed to justice for all people.
