NFN Online Concert honoring International Peace Day

Join us for this Peace Day celebration, where 7 participating artists will represent different cultures and instrumental/vocal traditions, all performing a "musical prayer for peace among all peoples, cultures, and faith traditions." Time: September 21st, 10 am PST (USA) The exciting program for our special 70-minute broadcast will be hosted by LFL founder/Artistic Director Donna Stoering, and will include some wonderful LFL artists (in this order): Jehnean Washington - Native American vocal chant for peace Evan Kahn - a classical cellist, playing "Hebrew Prayer" by Bloch Naser Musa - Palestinian oud master, singer, and composer, doing Arab Christian songs for peace Faraz Minooei - Iranian santour meditation Faisal Zedan - Syrian percussionist, demonstrating various Middle Eastern percussion instruments & rhythmic patterns Stephen Guggenheim - Jewish Synagogue cantor, opera star and Broadway singer, chanting two Hebrew prayers for peace & Jewish New Year Savita Pereira - Indian-American composer, giving the world premiere of her new song for peace, involving all of the performers/instruments on the program All donations for these broadcasts will be in support of Interfaith Encounter Association and the new "Collective Song" project of RebuildingAlliance.org bringing stringed instrument lessons to a peace-building youth program in the village of Al Aqaba.
