Plug into inspiration at Plug & Play Music Day and get an inside look at online group classes and private lessons at Community Music Center. Sample an online music class demo with CMC’s talented faculty. Play with new musical skills and explore easy to learn music. Plug & Play returns this October, featuring guitar, violin, piano, and singing demo classes.  

    No experience is necessary to participate.

How to plug in:

RSVP to this event and we'll send you Zoom links to each online class. In the RSVP process indicate which classes you are interested in attending to receive those Zoom links. RSVP HERE. Zoom links will be sent out 48 hours, 2 hours, and 10 minutes before the event via the email used to register.   1:00–1:30pm (PDT): Beginning Piano with Christopher Basso Ages: 8 and up Christopher will share techniques for starting to learn the piano. You'll learn how to find notes on the keyboard and apply those to a simple melody and chords, playing with rhythms and musical elements.   1:35–2:05pm (PDT): Intro to Guitar with Erik Pearson Ages: 8 and up Join Erik in an introduction to the guitar. This hands-on demo class will teach some basic chords and strum patterns. Erik will guide you in applying these skills to an easy to learn song.   2:10–2:40pm (PDT): Beginning Singing with Michael Mohammed Ages: 13 and up We can all sing. Michael will share beginning vocal technique skills in a fun group setting. Michael will work with a student during the class to demonstrate the vocal coach experience.   2:45–3:15pm (PDT): Violin for Beginners with Heidi Kim Ages: 6 and up Join Heidi in an introduction to the Suzuki-inspired approach of learning violin. Heidi makes this approach fun and easy by teaching bite-size skills. Having a violin is not necessary to benefit from this introduction.
