However far they might have traveled this summer, the adventurous piano trio born in the S.F. Conservatory of Music is now back as Artists-in-Residence of the Old First Concert Series. The Aleron Trio goes into action at Old First Church on Oct. 12 at 4 p.m., with an attractive all-French program.

Violinist Solenn Séguillon, cellist Anne Suda, and pianist Sophie Xuefei Zhang will take turns performing the 1915 Debussy Cello Sonata, Ravel's Violin Sonata No. 2, and Bohuslav Martinů's 1939 Bergerettes Trio.

Tickets are $5 (students), $14 (seniors), and $17 (general), available for purchase online or at the door.

About that summer travel: The trio participated in the Britten-Pears Young Artist Program at Aldeburgh Music in England, being coached and playing with the acclaimed Pavel Haas Quartet in masterclasses and concerts.

As part of their residency, the ensemble will also perform the Beethoven Triple Concerto at Old First on March 27, 2015, with Bay Area Chamber Orchestra One Found Sound and will also give a performance featuring American women composers on May 29, 2015.
