Piggy bank wrapped in red blanket

Dear readers,

The 2021-22 season is finally here and with it the reopening of concert halls and the return of live music. But it won’t be easy: we keep hearing about problems to be solved, and of course, the unknowns of the season, such as the Delta variant. Here at SFCV, we are in conversation with organizations as they announce their plans for the season while trying to deal with the messiness.

As always, we are keeping you informed of what is happening in your music community, both the performances and the issues of interest. We’re so happy that many of the news features from this past year were well received*, so if you enjoyed them, know that we have more coming! Features, however, are expensive to produce. They require time and expertise, multiple interviews, and research --- but we don’t want to have to miss a story because of budget constraints. That’s why this fall we are asking all our readers to donate so that we can continue to follow and report in-depth on the stories that you care about and the artists that you love.

Donations of any size are welcome, but here are some fun ideas to get you started:

  • $100 will get a writer out the door and into the concert hall, parking included.
  • $200 will get a review written, edited and published.
  • $300 will get a feature written, and the photo research done.
  • $500 will get the feature written, edited, and published.
  • $750 will get a feature published, and the whole SFCV staff doing a happy dance.

If you can’t help with a donation today, help us by reading our articles, subscribing to our newsletters, and sharing our content with your friends and family, and with your social network. And if you have a business and are interested in learning more about sponsorship opportunities, let us know

Here is to a great concert season!

With gratitude,
