Much has been said here in Music News about Jim Meredith's Sonos Handbell Ensemble — its tours, and his composition of Misterium, a virtual handbell choir piece, performed by 440 handbell musicians from 28 states and six countries.
The piece was broken into individual segments, some requiring four or more musicians playing a complete melody or harmony line, and others with nothing more than a single singing bell, alternating eighth notes, or a single accented note on a bass bell.
