Technically, yes, the 2014 Henry Wood Promenade Concerts (aka the BBC Proms) ended Saturday night with the usual variety lineup at Last Night of the Proms, with the music of Gavin Higgins, Arnold, Walton, Chausson, Tavener, Richard Strauss, Khachaturian, Ravel, Kern, traditional, Ansell, Thomas Arne (yes, "Rule, Britannia!"), Elgar, and Parry …

But: nothing doth fade, but doth suffer a sea-change into something rich and electronic:

  • In the UK (but not elsewhere), video of the the entire concert is available for a few more days.
  • Watch brief excerpts on Youtube: God Save the Queen, Pomp and Circumstance, "Old Man River," and more.
  • Podcast (audio) of the almost four-hour long entire concert is also available.
  • Perhaps the best of the lot: the Proms 2014 Collection with highlights of the entire season.
  • And from the Listen Again page, you can pick individual dates and programs, and check what's still available. For example: if you want to hear Marin Alsop conduct works by John Adams and Mahler, click on Sept. 4 in the calendar on the right side, then select Prom 63: Mahler & John Adams. Look for "Listen again," and select for the first Part 1 and then Part 2 of the concert. Podcasts are available for 30 days after each concert.
