About the Piece:

“Connections” is a brand new, original musical drama by Alexander Frank about finding human connection in a world full of electronic devices. The performance will be filmed and posted to YouTube and other social sites to reach new audiences. The entire performance will be less than 30 minutes, posted as a series of 3-5 minute videos for each scene. The score uses the human voice exclusively (i.e., no instruments), incorporating a range of styles and techniques to create exciting musical textures, similar to popular a cappella groups “Pentatonix” and “Roomful of Teeth”. The musical setting emphasizes the importance of the human voice in today’s digitally noisy world.

Frank’s YouTube micro-opera, "Come With Me", can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J81nDpFl2Ys
