Call for singers: The Old World Carolers holiday season

The Old World Carolers sings for benefits of our choice for an authentic holiday spirit--we may include homeless shelters, environment protection, medical emergency help for the needy, or other causes. Each year we have a theme--this year "childhood"--and songs that touch on the theme. Candidates for this year's repertoire include Nu ar det Jul igen (Sweden), Dormi, dormi (Italy), All My Heart This Night Rejoices and Past Three a Clock (England), and Ihr Kinderlein, kommet (Germany). We always add a few standards for singalongs. All our songs are traditional European carols of the 12th–19th centuries. It's all about the music! Listen at:

This year we celebrate our 34th season. We have lots of fun and generally dress Victorian for our main concert (some costume pieces available to borrow).

The OWC meets in downtown Sebastopol Thursday evenings starting in September up until Thanksgiving, then we have one benefit concert in early December and also may (or may not) sing at parties or paying gigs of our choice.
