Wanted: Chancel Choir Director

Immanuel Lutheran Church of Saratoga is seeking a director to lead our small (but enthusiastic) Chancel Choir. Ideal candidate will have a love of music, knowledge of church choral tradition, a mature faith in Christ, a passionate spirit, and an ability and willingness to work with others.

Responsibilities include:

·       Sunday services, Sep. – May, 8:30 – 10:00 AM (One Sunday each month)

·       Weekly rehearsals (Thursdays, 4:30 – 6:00 OR 7:30 – 9:00 PM)

·       Plan and select monthly choral pieces, to coordinate with church season and sermon theme.

·       Ability to rearrange/simplify music (if necessary), for smaller choir.

·       Coordinate and schedule special music for summer months.

Position begins October, 2023. Applications will be received until Aug. 1.
