Choirman
Grace Cathedral is looking for male-identifying singers to become members of its prestigious Choir of Men & Boys. We are open to hearing Altos/Countertenors, Tenors, and Basses. Interested singers should have experience with choral singing, and good sight-reading. The choir sings evensong every Thursday evening and eucharist on Sunday mornings, as well as special services and concerts throughout the year. No religious affiliation is necessary.
This professional ensemble sings advanced choral works from all historical periods to a high level of musicality in the glorious acoustic of Grace Cathedral. Other opportunities for choirmen include domestic and international tours, recordings, concerts, and solo opportunities. In addition to regular members, we keep an active list of substitute singers, which may fit busier people's schedules better.
Interested singers should write to [email protected] indicating your voice part (including a resume is encouraged). We'll then set up a time for an in-person audition, which will include vocalises, a solo song of your choosing, and sight-reading. We look forward to hearing from you!
