Bill Kalinkos

Clarinetist Bill Kalinkos enjoys a varied freelance career as a member of Alarm Will Sound and Ensemble Signal. Recognized by the Washington Post as a "notable contemporary music specialist," he has been fortunate enough to work with and premiere pieces by some of today's foremost composers including John Adams, Steve Reich, and John Zorn. He has given masterclasses at the universities of Missouri, Miami, and Youngstown State, Otterbein College, the Eastman School of Music, and was recently appointed to the music faculty of the University of California - Santa Cruz. As an orchestral player, Bill has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, New World Symphony, Spoleto Festival USA, CityMusic Cleveland, and the Wordless Music Orchestra. He is currently co-principal clarinet of the New Hampshire Music Festival Orchestra and a member of IRIS Orchestra. Bill recently moved to San Francisco from Philadelphia where he was a Teaching Artist for the Philadelphia Orchestra.
