Charles Sepos

Charles Sepos offers inspired, expert, individual instruction in piano, composition, and music theory, specializing in conservatory preparation.

He earned Rice University’s highest Course/Instructor evaluation while he was on the faculty at Shepherd School of Music. He also taught at San Francisco Conservatory of Music, University of Colorado College of Music, and University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, where he earned Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees. Among his thousands of students are successful music professionals around the world. He has been teaching since 1974.

For 21 years, Charles Sepos hosted more than 2,100 guests on his interview program Curtain Call on KRCB Sonoma County Public Media. Podcasts are available on iTunes and other sources. Dozens of his submissions were broadcast nationally on NPR’s Performance Today.

Dr. Sepos was a co-founder of American Philharmonic - Sonoma County, originally Cotati Philharmonic, now in its 21st season as Sonoma County Philharmonic, which toured China as guests of the Chinese Government. He served American Philharmonic as Composer-in- Residence, Communications Director, Artistic Director, and Young Artist Program Coordinator.

Dr. Sepos is the winner of numerous awards in composition, including BMI and Bradmark.
