Christine Hsia

Ms. Hsia is an East Bay cello and piano teacher, currently affiliated with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, the Music Teachers' Association of California, and Steinway & Sons' Educational Partnership Program. She is currently the principal cellist with the Diablo Symphony Orchestra in Walnut Creek and working as a volunteer librarian in the school outreach program.

Prior to joining the Diablo Symphony Orchestra, she was an honors graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's cello performance program, where she studied with Jean-Michel Fonteneau. She has also performed with the Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra as the principal cellist under the direction of conductor Michael Morgan, and toured with them to Australia, New Zealand, and Greece. She has also been the principal cellist for the California State University East Bay Orchestra and performed solo with the Diablo Valley Philharmonic Orchestra.
