MADDIVA Marcelle Dronkers

Got diva?
Highlights from my broad range of appearances in opera, recital and concert include most of Mozart’s heroines, Handel's evil sorceresses, and Verdi's Lady Macbeth with Donald Pippin's Pocket Opera; Four Last Songs of Strauss with LiederAlive; and Britten’s War Requiem in San Francisco’s Davies Hall.
I have participated in master classes with Elly Ameling, Edo de Waart, John Wustman, Leonard Bernstein and Thomas Hampson. I am on the Voice and Chamber Music Faculty of Notre Dame de Namur University, am Scholarship Competition Chair of Pacific Musical Society, and Artistic Director of the women's ensemble, Sorelle (aka Fweeter) and maintain a private voice studio in Kensington, where I live with my screen writer/composer/rock drummer son, Christopher, and five feral feline foundlings.
