Victor Skidanenko

Victor Skidanenko started guitar at 6, banjo at 10, and Mandolin at 16, and has studied with Jack Tuttle, Keith Little, Mike Compton, and many others.

Over the years Victor has played with a number of different bands, such as the now disbanded Pacific Ocean Bluegrass, MissFire & The Detonations, and the Del Williams Band, as well as his current groups Jenny Lynn & Her Real Gone Daddies, The Central Valley Boys, and Rock Ridge. Victor also performs in a duet with Bay Area Violinist Margaret Green. Apart from his bands, Victor has also performed with David Thom, Keith Little, The Tuttles, Mike Nunally, and others.

Victor's performances have earned him multiple nominations by the Northern California Bluegrass Society for banjo player of the year, and he was a 2012 nominee for both banjo player of the year, and mandolin player of the year, Victor's bands Rock Ridge, and the Central Valley Boys have been chosen by the California Bluegrass Association as 2012 CA Showcase bands.
