A once-in-a-lifetime experience awaits when Cabrillo Festival presents the West Coast premiere of Nu Shu: The Secret Songs of Women, by Academy and GRAMMY Award-winning composer Tan Dun (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). This multimedia extravaganza for harp, orchestra and film focuses on a secret, disappearing language created by and for women in 13th century feudal China. Three more captivating new works will also be premiered tonight by composers Hannah Lash, Preben Antonsen and JUNO Award-winning composer Vivian Fung.
