The Kensington Symphony Orchestra opens its 2019 - ’20 season with a program entitled España! featuring the American Premiere of Jaume Torrent’s Concierto de Rialp for solo guitar and orchestra with the Spanish composer as soloist. The program under the direction of Music Director and Conductor, Geoffrey Gallegos, will open with Chabrier’s brilliant and festive España and close with Maurice Ravel’s evocative depiction of the Spanish Basque culture, Rapsodie Españole. In between, the passionate, intimate Intermezzo from Enrique Granados’ opera Goyescas rounds out this vibrant celebration of Spanish culture.
