"Sparkle at Home" Live Stream Fundraiser Event

It's GALA WEEK at ABS! Our annual gala, "Sparkle," has moved online for 2020. On September 12 at 5:00 p.m., our live stream fundraiser event will feature music director Jeffrey Thomas with co-host Don Scott Carpenter and a long list of ABS musicians. Performances will include music from Purcell's King Arthur — featuring soprano Mary Wilson, baritone Hadleigh Adams, violinist Elizabeth Blumenstock, and harpsichordist Corey Jamason — and a special appearance by soprano Hélène Brunet performing Mozart. Other musical segments will include performances by violist Cynthia Black, baritone Mischa Bouvier, violinist Tatiana Chulochnikova, violinist Tekla Cunningham, violinist Tomà Iliev, viola da gambist Steven Lehning, violist Ramón Negrón Pérez, 'cellist William Skeen, and violinist Jude Ziliak. There will be visits by Special Guests (they're surprises!) as well as by ABS Musicians Jesse Blumberg, 
Elizabeth Blumenstock, Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen, Sarah Coit, Stephen Hammer, Gail Hernández Rosa, Katherine Kyme, Sandra Miller, Debra Nagy, Nola Richardson, William Sharp, Aaron Sheehan, Yvonne Smith, Shawnette Sulker, John Thiessen, Clio Tilton, Daniel Turkos, Bethanne Walker, and David Wilson. Two new Feature Segments — one about the ABS Academy and another titled "A Year With ABS" will be part of the presentation which will be live streamed between 5:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Saturday September 12th. Tune in 10 minutes early for a beautiful musical overture that begins at 4:50 p.m. Access to the live stream as well as access to this week's ABS Auction is FREE.
