Pianist Robin Sutherland returns on this concert with the Stanford Woodwind Quintet in an array of varied pieces. The Quintet begins with Emmanuel Chabrier’s impressionistic
Suite Pastorale, followed by Dutch composer and holocaust victim, Leo Smit’s Sextet, music which celebrates life despite the composer’s tragic history. Miguel del Aguila’s Sextet Dances build on this joy of life and Ludwig Thuille’s romantic sextet concludes the program.
