Trio Amarevole: Old Friends - Music that stood the test of time

Presented by Barefoot Chamber Concerts

Barefoot Chamber Concerts ("an enterprise noted for both its quality and informality" - San Francisco Classical Voice) presents really good music in the right acoustic and without the formality of most classical music events.

This concert is a flight of favorite pieces that the musicians have played and loved for years (actually decades). Janet See, the pre-eminent baroque flute player whose iconic recordings of the Bach Sonatas and the Couperin Concerts Royaux, Vivaldi Concertos and many other standards of the chamber and orchestral repertoire, designed the program with one idea in mind: to bring to the audience the music that has meant the most to her and her fellow musicians Peter Hallifax (bass viol) and John Lenti (theorbo). Thus the unusual combination of composers, which includes including Quantz, Marais, Hotteterre, Forqueray, Bach, and the elusive Scot, James Oswald.

The concert (which starts at 6:30) will be without intermission and no more than 75 minutes long, in the fabulous acoustic of St. Mary Magdalene Parish Hall.  For more information, visit barefootchamberconcerts.com. You can reserve space by emailing [email protected]) or at the door (if not sold out). Masks, proof of vaccination, and 6' distancing will likely be required (see BarefootchamberConcerts.com website for update).
