This program takes you on a musical odyssey through Beethoven's compositional evolution, featuring string quartet compositions from his early, middle, and late periods. Experience the range of his genius with works such as the tempestuous and occasionally charming fourth op. 18 quartet in c minor, the first of the groundbreaking op. 59 quartets full of Russian themes as a nod to their commissioner Count Razumovsky, and the monumental and visionary Grosse Fuge, awe-inspiringly created during Beethoven's deafness.
